Toothpick World opens Friday

Stan Munro’s “Toothpick World,” an exhibit
of more than 100 famous buildings from around the world constructed of
nothing more than toothpicks and glue, will be display at the Phelps
Arts Center, 15 Church St., Sept. 26 through Nov. 1.

An opening reception/fundraiser for the premiere
of the Golden Gate Bridge will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Arts
Center. This bridge, made entirely of toothpicks, spans 40 feet.

Also featured in the “Toothpick World” exhibit is the Guinness World Record holder for the tallest toothpick structure.

Admission to Friday’s event is $5.

The Arts Center will be open extended hours
during the exhibit — from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursdays, 1 to 7 p.m. Fridays and
11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays
